You do not need professional drawings. If possible, include:

What is there nowGrass, concrete, old paving, gravel or an existing driveway.
Approximate dimensionsLength × width, number of cars, or even a rough paced-out size.
Access and levelsGates, narrow side access, slopes, steps or known drainage issues.
The result you have in mindPreferred surface, colours, edging, budget range and ideal timing.

Photos make a real difference. One wide view from the property, one looking back towards it, plus close-ups of access, levels or drainage are ideal.

New two-car driveway

“We have an old concrete drive, approximately 8m × 6m, with access directly from the road. We like warm-toned resin with a dark edge and hope to complete it this autumn. Photos show the drive and the drain by the garage.”

Replace a rear patio

“We would like to replace roughly 25m² of uneven slabs with porcelain. Side access is about 90cm wide. There is one step from the house and we would like space for a six-seat table. We are open to advice on colour and drainage.”
